In an exclusive interview with Daily Caller News Foundation’s very own investigative reporter, Jennie Taer, five Border Patrol agents expressed their admiration for Governor Abbott’s unwavering commitment to protecting our borders. These brave men and women, who put their lives on the line every day, are frustrated by the current situation where they feel unable to effectively do their jobs. But Governor Abbott’s actions have given them hope and a renewed sense of purpose.
Unfortunately, it seems that the Biden administration is more interested in hindering Abbott’s efforts than in addressing the issue. The Justice Department has shamefully filed a lawsuit to block Texas from enforcing SB4, a law that makes illegal entry a state misdemeanor. It’s just another example of the Biden administration prioritizing politics over the safety and security of American citizens.
The staggering numbers speak for themselves. In December alone, over 300,000 illegal immigrants crossed into the United States. And since October, almost 380,000 have been encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border. These numbers are unprecedented and cannot be ignored. It’s clear that action needs to be taken, and Governor Abbott has stepped up to the plate.
To make matters worse, many of these illegal immigrants are finding their way to cities like Chicago and New York City, adding to the strain on already struggling communities. In a display of true leadership, Governor Abbott took the bold step of busing some of these migrants to so-called “sanctuary” cities. It’s a move that highlights the hypocrisy of these cities that claim to support illegal immigrants but are quick to turn a blind eye when it comes to actually providing necessary resources and assistance.
Governor Abbott’s actions have struck a chord with Border Patrol agents, who know firsthand the challenges they face and the urgent need for change. It’s a shame that the Biden administration is more focused on playing politics than on finding real solutions. The support from these agents only further validates Abbott’s efforts to secure the border and protect American citizens. It’s time for the Biden administration to wake up and prioritize the safety and security of our nation.
