Newsom acknowledged what many already see as a gaping hole in leftist logic. Instead of diving headfirst into the pool of reality where biological facts reign supreme, she opted to lob the question to “local communities,” as if handing over a kindergarten science project to the class to sort out. The attempt at a states’ rights defense was as half-baked as her response, which left observers scratching their heads rather than nodding in agreement. Somewhere, a constituent is wondering if the senator is hosting a town hall or passing notes in recess.
Democrats find themselves in a sticky predicament, needing to pull a rabbit out of their hat without it blowing up in their faces. The irony is thick because it was their party that initiated this circus, yet they’re now caught between denying biological reality and appeasing a loud minority. The global elite may be keen on introducing new definitions of gender, but the average American sees this charade for what it is—an ideological battle that has veered far from common sense.
