Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has firmly opposed the increasing prevalence of childhood sex changes. He has likened the "transition" surgeries that are being conducted on minors to the experimentation on guinea pigs. Moreover, he has acknowledged the courage of Chloe Cole, who has spoken out against this practice, and identified her as a detransitioner.
Children are not guinea pigs for science experiments, and we cannot allow people to make money off mutilating them.
Thank you, Chloe, for sharing your story – Florida is listening. pic.twitter.com/wJMo6REmlC

DeSantis said, "It's unfortunate that we have to tell this, but our kids are not test subjects for science, and we can't let people make money by cutting them up." "Chloe Cole is now a young adult, but at 13 she was taking pills to stop puberty, and at 16 she had a double mastectomy." She now speaks out against letting our kids go through these procedures. Thank you for being brave, Chloe. The people of Florida and their lawmakers should take your advice and make sure that these kinds of things can't happen again.

An activist from the United States, Chloe Cole, began her transition at 12 years of age and received treatment that included puberty blockers, testosterone, and a double mastectomy, but eventually de-transitioned at 17. In March 2021, Cole became well-known after providing testimony to the South Dakota legislature in favor of a proposal to prohibit gender-affirming medical care for individuals under the age of 18.
Expressing her own journey through gender transition and detransition, Cole has been vocal about it and claimed that she was too young to make such significant decisions at that time. Although she has taken a courageous position against childhood sex changes, some members of the LGBTQ+ community have criticized her, alleging that conservative politicians have exploited her to promote anti-trans policies.
In the battle against childhood sex changes, Governor DeSantis is supporting Cole and other detransitioners. He is urging the Florida public and lawmakers to listen to Cole's guidance and introduce safeguards against these surgeries. It is a breath of fresh air to witness a conservative politician taking a robust stance on a subject that has been mostly disregarded by liberals.
Governor DeSantis is sending a powerful message that children should not be subjected to such dangerous and irreversible procedures. It is time for liberals to stop pushing their radical agenda and start listening to those who have experienced the consequences of childhood sex changes firsthand.
