California just got a taste of real law and order, and it wasn’t coming from the soft-on-crime liberals who run the state. The FBI just slammed the door shut on 43 gang members tied to the infamous Mexican Mafia — the so-called “gang of gangs.” This is what happens when the people enforcing the law actually care about protecting American streets, not just whining about “systemic oppression” or kneeling for the latest activist fad.
For years, progressives have turned a blind eye as violent gangs like La Eme terrorized neighborhoods, peddled poison, and laughed in the face of the law. Governor Newsom and his buddies were more worried about banning plastic straws and forcing pronouns on kindergarteners than getting criminals off the streets. Meanwhile, law-abiding citizens suffered daily under the shadow of drug runners and thugs who answer to Mexican cartel bosses, not the American justice system.

So it took the feds — not local politicians — to finally put the hammer down. Operation Gangster’s Paradise is a major victory. Over 30 core members of one of the most dangerous gangs are now behind bars where they belong. That’s a real win for families trying to raise their kids in neighborhoods left for dead by ivory tower elites. Funny how the federal government can move mountains when they’re not bogged down by woke nonsense or bureaucratic handwringing.
But let’s not pretend this problem started yesterday. It’s years of open-border policies and “catch-and-release” attitudes that allowed the Mexican Mafia and other criminal syndicates to thrive in the first place. Sanctuary cities? All they do is protect criminals. Soros-funded prosecutors? They let gangsters waltz right back onto the streets with a slap on the wrist. Ordinary Americans are stuck paying the price while virtue-signaling politicians pat themselves on the back.
These arrests are a reminder: real justice requires backbone, not virtue signals. Maybe instead of attacking cops and gutting police budgets, California should start supporting the people who actually keep us safe. Or is that too much common sense for the far-left lunatics running the show? Good luck finding “paradise” in any neighborhood cursed by liberal stupidity.
