According to a report from The Daily Caller, Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas, a Republican, introduced two bills on Monday. The first bill, the Protecting Children From Experimentation Act, aims to prevent doctors from performing gender transition procedures on minors and includes jail time for those who violate the law. Senator Marshall believes it is important for doctors to recognize the potential dangers of these irreversible procedures and avoid participating in what he views as a transgender activism movement.

The second bill, the End Taxpayer Funding of Gender Experimentation Act, aims to relieve taxpayers of the financial burden of paying for transgender surgeries. Senator Marshall argues that it is unfair to expect taxpayers to fund these expensive procedures when there are other pressing issues such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure that also require funding.
Senator Marshall emphasized his commitment to the bills by stating, “Doctors who engage in or assist with surgeries that mutilate children should face imprisonment.” He expressed his firm stance, asserting that these procedures can result in severe and irreversible harm to children’s bodies, along with long-term health risks. Senator Marshall emphasized the need to safeguard children and ensure that American taxpayers are not responsible for funding these hazardous procedures.
Furthermore, Republican Congressman Doug LaMalfa from California expressed his support for Senator Marshall’s proposal. He highlighted the concerns of vulnerable children being exposed to radical gender transition ideologies and feeling pressured into undergoing invasive and irreversible medical procedures. Representative LaMalfa stressed that minors should not be making such permanent decisions while still in their youth. He argued that it is essential to allow children to be children and defer these choices until adulthood, as they may later regret decisions made during their childhood. Representative LaMalfa maintained that adults and the medical community should prioritize protecting children rather than imposing a “woke” agenda upon them.
It’s clear that the idea of prohibiting “gender transition procedures” and transgender surgeries for minors has garnered a lot of supporters, including several conservative organizations and GOP lawmakers.
