In a scathing rebuke, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed Hunter Biden for his refusal to comply with a lawful subpoena. The Republican congresswoman from Georgia expressed her frustration at the double standard being applied to the Biden family, highlighting how President Trump’s children willingly testified for hours in front of Democrat-led committees. Greene didn’t hold back her opinions, accusing Hunter Biden of attempting to hide money laundering and the abuse of power that both he and his father are guilty of.

When asked about Hunter Biden’s press conference outside the Capitol, Greene didn’t mince words. She asserted that his decision to address the press while avoiding a sworn deposition was a clear attempt to evade the truth. Greene even pointed out that they were willing to accommodate Hunter Biden by allowing cameras during his deposition, but he arrogantly refused to show up and follow the law.
The situation underscores the existing political tensions surrounding the Biden family’s business affairs. Hunter had initially agreed to appear before the Oversight Committee but changed his mind after being denied the opportunity to make the hearing public. This unexpected change shook Capitol Hill, coinciding with Republicans’ plans to formalize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s alleged involvement.
Reacting to Hunter Biden’s defiance, the House Oversight Committee announced its intention to pursue contempt proceedings against the son of President Biden. Republican leaders expressed their commitment to treating Hunter Biden like any other citizen, emphasizing that his last name would not grant him preferential treatment. They reiterated the need to hold President Biden and his family accountable for corruption and obstruction.
Special counsel David Weiss has charged him in two states for crimes related to tax fraud arising from his overseas business deals. Even James Biden, the president’s brother, has been subpoenaed to answer questions about the money he and his wife received from these deals, some of which landed in the president’s private bank account.
What is perhaps most staggering is that 70 percent of Americans believe President Biden acted unethically regarding his family’s business dealings. Despite his denials, the mounting controversy surrounding his son has taken a toll on him, leading even his closest aides to fear discussing the matter. Clearly, the Bidens are not immune to public scrutiny, and it is critical that they be held accountable for their actions.
