The percentage of people who believed that Biden engaged in illegal or immoral business activities has risen from 70% in late December. At present, the House Oversight Committee’s Republican members are investigating the domestic and foreign business interests of the Biden family to determine if they posed a threat to US national security or if they affected President Joe Biden’s ability to govern impartially.
Nine alleged offenses, such as money laundering and wire fraud, are being investigated in relation to the Biden family. Additionally, sensitive materials were reportedly found at the residence of the elder Biden in Delaware and at his former workplace, the Penn Biden Center.
Peter Schweizer, a Breitbart contributor and the President of the Government Accountability Institute, authored two books: Hidden Empires and Profiles in Corruption, in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Both books achieved the top position on the New York Times bestseller list. They revealed that Hunter and Joe Biden traveled to China aboard Air Force Two in 2013, before Hunter’s business secured a $1.5 billion contract with a unit of the Chinese government’s Bank of China in under two weeks.
According to Schweizer’s investigation, the Biden family had engaged in other significant and profitable international business dealings, as well as cronyism. The New York Post investigation into Hunter Biden’s “laptop from Hell,” conducted by Breitbart Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris and Miranda Devine, also received global attention. The investigation uncovered evidence suggesting that Joe Biden was closely involved in Hunter’s businesses, including a 10% stake in a company formed by the younger Biden in partnership with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.
During a Judiciary Committee hearing on March 1, Attorney General Merrick Garland assured the members that the federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s business practices would be free from any political interference. He had previously announced that he would not intervene in the investigation by Delaware U.S. Attorney David C. Weiss into Hunter Biden’s foreign business activities, which are now being scrutinized by both federal agencies and Congress.
Numerous conservative Americans are troubled by these recent developments, fearing that the Biden family may have engaged in corruption. The fact that 73% of registered voters believe that Hunter Biden may have conducted illegal or unethical business activities indicates that people are conscious of the possibility of wrongdoing and are seeking answers. The Attorney General’s statement that he will not interfere with the investigation is also troubling since it might be perceived as an attempt by the Biden administration to cover up any potential misconduct. It is apparent that more investigation is necessary to reveal the facts about Hunter Biden’s business activities.
