Two Jewish conservatives, Josh Hammer and Will Scharf, have launched the “Jews Against Soros” campaign to push back against accusations of antisemitism against those who criticize left-wing billionaire George Soros. In a press release, the “new grassroots coalition of Jews” aimed to expose Soros’ “radical left-wing agenda” and his “nefarious influence” on American politics and destabilizing Western nation-states, including Israel. Soros is known for being a left-wing megadonor who funds various political organizations. In the recent 2022 midterm elections, Soros spent $128.5 million supporting Democrats through his Open Society network. Furthermore, reports suggest that he funds the boycott, divestment, and sanction (BDS) movement, which has links to the terrorist organization, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Hammer and Scharf explained that criticizing Soros’ political agenda is not antisemitic and that individuals who justify their criticism are instead being labeled as such. Elon Musk and Republican Sen. Marco Rubio are among those who were accused of antisemitism for pushing back against Soros’ influence. The objective of this campaign is to rally like-minded Jewish people and bring them together against Soros and his left-wing agenda. They aim to build a grassroots army to oppose Soros’ brand of leftism.
There is nothing antisemitic about opposing George Soros.
Today, we (@willscharf and @josh_hammer) are launching Jews Against Soros, a new grassroots coalition of Jews who oppose George Soros’s radical left-wing agenda.

Hammer explained that George Soros has been harmful to America, Israel, and the Jewish people’s interests worldwide. He argues that calling Soros out for his destructive forces is not at all antisemitic. The campaign claims that Soros has become a tool for pushing left-wing agendas, including promoting American anarchism and undermining Israel’s territorial integrity. Despite rising antisemitism globally, it is crucial to call out false accusations of Jew-hatred that provides cover for a particular political agenda.
Although the Open Society Foundations has not responded to any request for comment, Hammer, and Scharf’s campaign has managed to attract thousands of supporters in only a few hours. The foundation of the campaign falls in line with conservative values and the Republican Party’s political stance against left-wing extremists such as George Soros. With the formation of the Jews Against Soros campaign, the Soros’ left-wing agenda may finally face wide opposition from Jews in America, and eventually, the rest of the world.
