Kamala Harris has officially locked in her running mate for the 2024 election, and it appears she’s doubled down on the radical leftist agenda by picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. This decision came as a surprise to anyone who thought moderate Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro—an Israel supporter who would likely have appealed to the party’s dwindling centrist voters—might get the nod. But in what can only be described as a calculated move to solidify her far-left credentials, Harris has opted for a candidate whose political philosophy can best be summarized as “if you’re not a socialist, you might be a weird person.”
Walz’s progressive values are nothing short of alarming. Under his leadership, Minnesota has turned into a ‘transgender sanctuary state’ where children can be subjected to medical procedures without parental consent. This includes laws that essentially allow the state to swoop in and claim custody of kids whose parents might hesitate to allow this so-called “gender-affirming” care. Wow, nothing says “family values” like a state that would prefer to override parental authority in favor of progressive ideology.

The LGBTQ+ Victory Fund couldn’t be happier with Harris’s choice, saluting Walz as a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. Apparently, advocating for policies that might lead to the medical mutilation of minors is now considered “neighborliness.” Walz has been a vocal supporter of radical left ideas and even praised socialism as something akin to neighborly love. It seems the Democrats have embraced a take on socialism that only the most deluded would consider positive.
On top of his bizarre advocacy for radical gender politics, Walz’s historical record during the BLM riots reveals a soft-on-crime approach that left Minneapolis in flames while he hesitated to call in backup. Onlookers might recall that Walz’s inaction allowed the city to burn, culminating in over $500 million in damage. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris encouraged contributions to bail funds for those arrested during the chaos, perfectly aligning with the current trajectory of a party that openly endorses violence and anarchy in the name of “social justice.”
Walz has also been steadfast in his COVID-19 fanaticism. While many states opted for reasonable restrictions, Walz was the governor who thought it wise to set up a hotline for citizens to report their neighbors if they dared venture outside without a mask. He distinguished himself as perhaps the most enthusiastic enforcer of COVID measures, which were riddled with double standards and often did nothing to mitigate the pandemic while trampling individual freedoms.
As if that weren’t enough to fuel concerns about the left’s extremist leanings, Walz’s policies on illegal immigration are a recipe for disaster. His administration has made it easier for illegal immigrants to access public resources, like healthcare and college scholarships while imposing higher taxes on legal Minnesota residents. This is the leftist dream—prioritizing non-citizens over hardworking American families.
To cap it all off, Walz’s stance on abortion has led to the legalization of selective infanticide and the enshrining of unlimited abortion rights in Minnesota law. There’s no denying that this choice of running mate sets the stage for Harris and her far-left dreams to come true, all while leaving moderate voices behind in the dust. If the Democratic ticket has ever been more radical, it’s hard to imagine how anyone could outdo this pairing.
