On Tuesday, the legislature of the Free State passed legislation that legalises the use of marijuana for those who are at least 21 years old, so changing the Constitution of the state.
Reports indicate that a large number of individuals were delighted with this decision because they believed that the sale of cannabis would allow for an increase in the amount of money collected in taxes.

Those who are opposed to it are concerned that if marijuana were to be legalised, it may eventually end up in the possession of minors, which would be a terrible thing.
The use of marijuana for recreational purposes is legal in 19 states in the United States. In 37 states, cannabis may only be used for medicinal purposes.
In July of the following year, the newly enacted law will go into effect.
