Pelosi Demands More Probes Into Israel, Questions Netanyahu’s Peace Role

In a recent appearance on “CNN NewsNight,” liberal Rep. Nancy Pelosi let loose some opinions about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that would make a sourpuss look positively perky. Pelosi claimed she’s been skeptical for decades about Netanyahu’s ability to bring about peace, which is like saying she’s been skeptical about cats chasing mice. It’s kind of their thing.

Adding fuel to the fire, Pelosi also called for an additional investigation into the strike that killed workers from World Central Kitchen in Israel. Apparently, the investigation that Israel is already doing just isn’t enough for Pelosi. She wants an investigation of the investigation. Investigation-ception.

Pelosi did acknowledge the brutality of the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas but still expressed concerns about Israel’s response. She called for support for Israel’s defense while simultaneously holding back on providing more weapons until she gets the investigation she demands. It’s like saying, “I’ll support you, but not really because I don’t trust you.”

Pelosi’s comments sparked the flames of controversy, as she suggested that the U.S. should withhold weapons from Israel. It’s as if she’s saying, “I’ll help you, but only if you do things my way.” This move didn’t sit well with some, as it’s like giving a cupcake and then taking it back because the recipient didn’t say thank you the way you wanted.

Only time will tell how Pelosi’s comments will impact U.S.-Israel relations, but let’s hope that cooler heads prevail. After all, peace in the Middle East is about as easy to achieve as teaching a cat to bark.
