Rep Comer Pursues Biden Investigation, Hints at Impeachment Possibility

On Wednesday, the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), visited Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” to share his dismay at the difficulty in getting responses from President Joe Biden and his team regarding possible misconduct. The Kentucky Republican made it clear that he and his team had gathered solid evidence of potential wrongdoing by the Bidens, including bank statements, emails, text messages, and sworn testimonies. He emphasized that they had followed all the rules in their investigation, leaving no stone unturned.

Despite their efforts to give President Biden a chance to clarify the situation, Comer lamented the Administration’s reluctance to address their questions directly. They even prepared a list of queries, aimed at getting to the bottom of whether the President had met with individuals who had provided his family with substantial financial gains and whether he was aware of his family’s dealings with foreign adversaries.

As their pursuit for answers continues, Comer highlighted that they are expecting more documents in the coming week that have been subpoenaed. He suggested that the investigation might reach a conclusion soon after obtaining these documents.

During his appearance on the program, Comer did not rule out the possibility of pursuing criminal referrals and even raised the prospect of impeachment. He argued that Joe Biden has allegedly committed impeachable offenses by engaging in what he deems as selling access to foreign countries, such as China, Russia, and Ukraine.

Concluding his remarks, Comer stressed the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions, especially when it comes to matters of potential influence-peddling. He underlined his belief that the American people demand accountability and indicated that he shares in this desire for justice.
