The robbery took place on the same night that President Biden attended an event in Los Angeles with former President Barack Obama, actors George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
Although the specifics of the robbery are still under investigation, it was confirmed that the agent’s bag was stolen at gunpoint. The Secret Service agent discharged their service weapon during the incident, but it is unclear whether the assailants were hit. The stolen bag was later found in the vicinity by Tustin police. No suspects have been apprehended or identified at this time.
