Kevin O’Leary, the well-known Shark Tank entrepreneur, has made waves recently by announcing a bold boycott of New York City. His decision came hot on the heels of Judge Arthur Engoron’s whopping $355 million ruling against former President Donald Trump, which O’Leary has deemed as nothing short of corrupt and baseless. In a fiery interview with Fox News, O’Leary minced no words in criticizing Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Engoron for what he perceives as a gross miscarriage of justice.

According to O’Leary, the ruling makes no sense whatsoever, leaving him utterly perplexed. He didn’t hold back in slamming the Big Apple, labeling it a “loser state” alongside California due to its unfavorable policies, high taxes, and uncompetitive regulations. He went on to warn that he’s certainly not the only one turning his back on New York, foreseeing a bleak future for potential investors in what he now perceives as a sinking ship of a state.
And it’s not just about Trump, O’Leary insists. This isn’t a Trump-specific problem; this is a New York problem now. In a time where high-end data centers are a hot commodity in real estate, O’Leary fears that such controversial legal decisions will have dire consequences on future investments in the state.
The controversial ruling in question demands that Trump shell out over $350 million and forbids him from conducting any business within the Empire State for the next three years. This unprecedented judgement not only poses a significant financial threat to Trump but also marks a pivotal moment in his business trajectory.
The New York Attorney General, Letitia James, has accused Trump of inflating asset values to deceive lenders, insurers, and tax authorities for personal gain.
