President Trump has finally pulled the plug on an $11 million government handout to Catholic Charities, and conservatives everywhere should be cheering. For years, this massive charity raked in taxpayer dollars to help illegal immigrants flood across our borders—putting foreign lawbreakers ahead of hardworking Americans. This move was long overdue.
Let’s not pretend this is about charity or compassion. The left loves to dress it up that way, but follow the money. Catholic Charities has become just another part of the open-borders machine, cashing enormous government checks while helping illegal aliens break our laws. Liberals and globalists have no problem throwing your tax dollars to groups making immigration chaos even worse.
