In a recent appearance on Your World with Neil Cavuto, former President Donald Trump’s legal woes are really firing up the Republican base. Apparently, Bedford thinks that the only people who are loving the drama of Trump’s legal battles are the far Left, who are just thrilled to see Trump potentially facing some heat. She seems to think they might even be having a little party over it.
But according to Bedford, Trump’s legal fights are actually having the opposite effect on Republicans. She claims that these trials and tribulations are reinvigorating GOP voters who may have been feeling a little worn out from all the Trump news. It’s like they were on the verge of being tired of winning, but now they’re pumped up and excited to hit the polls come Election Day.
Bedford also suggests that all of Trump’s legal drama is not just energizing the base, but it’s actually making President Joe Biden nervous about his 2024 prospects. She argues that the constant focus on Trump’s legal battles is making independent voters question the Biden administration. If all he can talk about is how bad Trump is, then where’s the real substance, huh? Bedford believes that all this is really hurting ol’ Joe from both sides.
A New York appeals court recently made a big decision to slash Trump’s civil fraud judgment from a whopping $464 million down to just $175 million. And on top of that, they even gave the former President a 10-day extension to cough up the reduced amount.
Judge Juan Merchan shut down Trump’s request to dismiss his hush money case and turned down his plea for even more time before the trial kicks off. The court was like, “No, sorry buddy, you can’t hit snooze any longer – it’s time to face the music.” The big trial is set to begin on April 15, and it seems like Trump’s calendar is booked for the foreseeable future. Looks like he might need to block off some serious courthouse hours, because he’s expected to be there every day.
