Sen. Tommy Tuberville has unleashed some hard-hitting truths in the latest round of political chess, and it’s the Dems who are feeling the sting. With speculation swirling about President Joe Biden potentially bowing out of the 2024 race, Tuberville isn’t about to extend a helping hand. He argues that the Democrats are in freefall and suggests the best course of action is to sit back and enjoy the show.
The Alabama senator pointed out the obvious — Biden’s age and health have been significant concerns since day one. He’s not getting any younger, and the blunders just keep piling up. Whether it’s fumbling through speeches or looking lost on stage, the president hasn’t done much to inspire confidence in his mental fitness. Tuberville notes that these gaffes have turned quite a few heads, even within his own party.

There’s already some stirring in the Democratic ranks with a few members subtly suggesting that maybe it’s time for Biden to hang up his hat. Meanwhile, others are stubbornly clinging to the belief that the ship isn’t sinking. At 81, Biden holds the dubious honor of being the oldest president in U.S. history. If reelected, he’d be still holding onto the reins at 86. It’s a wonder anyone thinks he can handle another term.
Let’s not forget Biden’s main rival, Trump, who, despite being 78, seems to have more energy than Biden on his best day. A hypothetical Trump second term would see him leave office at 82, and one can bet he wouldn’t spend his golden years as a shrinking violet.
Tuberville didn’t miss the opportunity to punctuate his comments with a speculative twist. He suggests that instead of Biden, the real puppeteers like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and even Barack Obama are the ones steering the ship. Tuberville believes that Biden is more of a figurehead, with the real decision-making happening behind closed doors. Talk about a plot twist in a bad political drama series!
And then there’s the Kamala Harris question. Tuberville predicts that if Biden bows out, Harris could be left holding the bag. Who her running mate would be is anyone’s guess, but one thing’s for sure: the Democrats are knee-deep in their own mess, and conservative America is more than happy to let them figure it out. Popcorn, anyone?
