Youngkin Crushes Biden in VA: Poll Shows 2024 Matchup Blowout

The results of the poll have been a source of optimism for the Republican party in Virginia, showing that Gov. Youngkin is a popular figure in the state and could be a formidable opponent to President Biden in the 2024 election.

The recent Roanoke College poll has made it clear that Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin is a force to be reckoned with in the 2024 presidential election. The poll showed that Youngkin was 16 points ahead of President Joe Biden in a hypothetical matchup, with Youngkin’s favorability rating up by 52% compared to Biden’s 40%. Trump’s favorability was at 33%. Not only that, but 57% of respondents approved of Youngkin’s job as governor, while only 38% approved of Biden’s job as president.

The poll was conducted via calls from Roanoke College and surveyed a random sample of 680 adults residing in Virginia with a margin of error of +/- 4.23%. This is a clear indication that Virginians are more than happy with the job Gov. Youngkin is doing and are looking to him as a potential candidate for president in 2024.

In an interview with NBC News in January 2023, Youngkin expressed his gratitude to those who are considering him as a possible presidential candidate, saying he was “overwhelmingly humbled.” Despite his focus on Virginia, the poll results have provided the Republican Party in Virginia with a reason to be optimistic. They show that Governor Youngkin is a popular figure in the state and could pose a significant challenge to President Biden in the 2024 election.

According to the poll, 34% of respondents think that Youngkin should run for president, while 54% don’t want him to run. It’s worth noting that the Virginia Constitution prohibits governors from serving consecutive terms and immediate re-election, which means that Governor Youngkin won’t be eligible to run for re-election in 2025.

It is clear that Gov. Youngkin is a popular figure in Virginia and could be a strong contender against President Biden in the 2024 presidential election. His favorability rating is much higher than both Biden and Trump, and his approval rating as governor is significantly higher than Biden’s approval rating as president. It will be interesting to see if Youngkin decides to pursue a presidential bid in 2024 and if Virginians will support him in his endeavor.
