Wow! Do we have a revolving door at the White House or what? President Joe Biden’s secretary of housing and urban development, Marcia Fudge, is packing her bags and heading out the door, making her the fifth Cabinet official to hit the bricks since Biden moved into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Fudge sent an email to the HUD staff on Monday, announcing her plans to bounce. Deputy HUD Secretary Adrianne Todman is going to hold down the fort as acting HUD secretary once Fudge takes off, according to the White House.

Biden had some nice words to say about Fudge, claiming she’s been a real go-getter in the housing department, pushing for more homes and lower costs for renters. He even said they’re working on the largest affordable housing investment in U.S. history. Are we sure he’s not still campaigning?
Yeah, well, Fudge’s departure comes right after White House chief of staff Jeff Zients made it seem like nobody else was about to hit the road before the 2024 election. Looks like Zients spoke too soon, huh?
Here we go again with the musical chairs. With Fudge leaving, that makes it two of Biden’s top folks taking off already. And didn’t we just replace the labor secretary too? It’s like trying to keep track of who’s who in a soap opera!
