The Biden administration has once again found itself in hot water with many Americans after deciding to celebrate “Transgender Awareness Day” on none other than Easter Sunday. While the administration faces widespread backlash for this controversial move, what is even more shocking is the vast number of LGBTQIA2S+ themed holidays that are already on the calendar.

The list of over 50 LGBTQIA2S+ themed holidays includes events such as National LGBT Health Awareness Week, International Transgender Day of Visibility, Pulse Remembrance, and even International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. It seems that there is an LGBTQIA2S+ themed day for nearly every day of the year!
The decision to honor Transgender Awareness Day on Easter Sunday has further fueled the existing animosity towards the Biden administration’s embrace of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Despite facing criticism, the White House has stood firm in its support of Transgender Day of Visibility.
