The Democrats are once again attempting to push through legislation that is not only misleading, but also completely unnecessary. The Paycheck Fairness Act is nothing more than a political ploy to gain favor with female voters and pander to the liberal base. The gender wage gap is not only a highly misleading concept, but it is also not indicative of discriminatory intent by employers. The wage gap is simply a result of the different types of jobs that men and women tend to take. Furthermore, the Equal Pay Act of 1963 already protects women against wage discrimination. This proposed legislation is nothing more than a waste of time and resources that could be better spent elsewhere.

It is clear that the Democrats are more concerned with pushing their own agenda rather than actually helping women. This proposed legislation is nothing more than a political stunt to gain favor with female voters and pander to the liberal base. It is time for the Democrats to stop playing politics and start focusing on real solutions that will actually help women in the workforce.
