President Joe Biden’s policies regarding the border crisis are reportedly plagued with fraud and misuse of funds, according to a new report. More than $100 million in taxpayer money is being given to NGOs to help individuals who have entered the US illegally across the border. However, a DHS Inspector General report has accused the agency of not enforcing oversight and misspending the funds. Based on the report, $12.9 million from 18 NGOs were found to have misused the funds and not followed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Humanitarian Relief Funding and Application Guidance. Additionally, $7.4 million of the $12.9 million spent was questioned, as the required documentation was unavailable.

The crisis at the US border under the Biden administration has only exacerbated the problem. More than 6.1 million illegal immigrants have already crossed the border since the beginning of Biden’s presidency, and the issue continues to worsen. What’s more concerning is Biden’s administration helping transfer migrants across the country, making the border crisis an issue for nearly every state. This issue transcends political backgrounds and should be a concern for all Americans.

Senator Ted Cruz has openly criticized the crisis and called out Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for his apparent involvement in enabling child sex trafficking. Senator Cruz has stated that this crisis is a disgrace, and American taxpayers’ money is being spent in unaccountable ways. Fraud and misuse of funds in any situation are troubling, but when it comes to unlawful entry into a country, it raises many national security and law enforcement concerns. Americans must remain vigilant in holding our politicians accountable for their actions, especially when it comes to our nation’s borders. This report is just further proof of how the Biden administration has mismanaged the border crisis and highlights why conservatives must continue to fight for strong borders and national security.
