Hunter Biden Gun Trial Wraps Up as Defense Rests Without His Testimony

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has been facing a gun trial, and his defense team has finished presenting their case. The defense decided not to have Hunter testify and instead called three witnesses to the stand. One of the witnesses was Hunter’s oldest daughter, Naomi Biden, who shared that she believed her father was sober when he purchased a gun in 2018. She also mentioned that she did not see any drug-related items in his truck during a visit to New York.

Another witness who testified was an ex-girlfriend of Hunter Biden, who claimed to have seen him using crack cocaine as late as September 2018, just one month before he bought the gun. In addition, Hunter Biden’s defense team called two witnesses who worked at the gun shop where the firearm was purchased to discuss the background check process.

Special counsel David Weiss has accused Hunter Biden of lying on a federal form about his drug use in order to buy the gun and unlawfully keeping the firearm for 11 days while being addicted to or a user of crack cocaine. The trial has been ongoing for the past week, and closing arguments are set to begin soon.

Throughout the trial, Hunter Biden has had the support of several family members, including first lady Jill Biden, first daughter Ashley Biden, and others. The trial is expected to conclude with jury deliberations beginning after closing arguments.

This news of Hunter Biden’s trial has drawn attention due to his familial ties, and the outcome of the trial could have implications for the Biden family.
