It seems like Joe Biden is once again refusing to do the responsible thing and negotiate with the Republican Party on raising the debt ceiling. As we all know, the national debt is sky-high, and it’s only going to get worse if we don’t start taking action. But Biden is too busy playing politics to care about the long-term well-being of our country.
Even Democrats Are Tired of Biden's Debt Ceiling Games https://t.co/o3OjDpmvQq

Fortunately, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has stepped up to the plate and proposed a plan to raise the debt limit by $1.5 trillion, while also implementing much-needed spending caps and clawing back unspent COVID-19 relief funds. It’s a smart and sensible solution that would help rein in our out-of-control debt.
For 77 days, President Biden has ignored the impending debt ceiling crisis.
Instead of leaving town today to give a speech, Biden should sit down with me, find agreement, and avoid the prospect of his administration bumbling into the first default in our nation’s history.

President Biden’s reckless spending created record inflation, made us more dependent on China, and undermined Social Security and Medicare. Since he's been in hiding, House Republicans will take action by passing a responsible debt limit increase. https://t.co/YS11O6kqtK

Why won't the president sit down to negotiate a responsible debt limit increase? What is he afraid of? pic.twitter.com/dM4qYPTdzr

And it’s not just Republicans who are urging Biden to start negotiating. Even Democrats are warning him that he’s playing with fire. Senator Joe Manchin summed it up perfectly when he said, “it has been more than 78 days since President Biden last met with Speaker McCarthy. This signals a deficiency of leadership, and it must change.” He went on to say that Biden needs to propose “real and substantive spending cuts and deficit reduction,” or risk a catastrophic default.
But instead of working towards a compromise, the White House is attacking McCarthy’s proposal and accusing Republicans of attacking Americans. It’s classic deflect-and-defend tactics that we’ve come to expect from the left.
The truth is, Biden needs to stop playing politics and start leading. The national debt is a ticking time bomb, and it’s only a matter of time before it explodes. It’s time for him to take responsibility and start negotiating with the Republican Party on a solution that benefits everyone. Our nation’s future depends on it.
