Pennsylvania Voters Slam Biden’s Job-Killing LNG Fiasco

A recent poll conducted in Pennsylvania has unveiled significant opposition among the state's voters to President Joe Biden's decision to halt liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports. The survey, carried out by Axis Research, indicates that nearly 60% of voters oppose this decision upon learning about its potential adverse effects on jobs and communities. Alarmingly, 41% of respondents indicated they are now more inclined to vote against Biden due to this moratorium, with a striking majority of 55% in the Scranton media market expressing similar sentiments.

Criticism of this anti-jobs stance has been widespread, even among prominent Pennsylvania Democrats such as Senators John Fetterman and Bob Casey, who have urged Biden to reconsider. The LNG industry has long been a significant source of employment in Pennsylvania, providing livelihoods to approximately 125,000 individuals across various professions. Furthermore, it has played a crucial role in advancing U.S. energy independence, a cause championed by patriotic Americans.

Governor Josh Shapiro has also emphasized the importance of job creation in the energy sector, given the industry's substantial contribution to Pennsylvania's economic activity, surpassing $41 billion in 2022 alone. However, the Biden administration's decisions, including the closure of the Cleveland-Cliff's Weirton plant and potential threats to the Cleveland-Cliffs Butler Works, pose additional risks to thousands of jobs in the state.

A poll commissioned by the Pennsylvania Energy Infrastructure Alliance underscores the widespread concern among voters, with a staggering 84% believing that the suspension of LNG exports endangers numerous well-paying jobs in the natural gas industry. It's evident that Biden's policies are out of sync with the priorities of Pennsylvanians, with only a mere 3% of respondents expressing a desire for the state's focus to be on climate change.

The Axis Research poll, which included a majority of independent and Democratic voters, provides a clear reflection of the sentiments prevailing among Pennsylvanians. With such significant opposition to Biden's policies, it's imperative for the administration to heed the concerns of hardworking Americans before further harm is inflicted.
