The Republican National Committee (RNC) has taken action against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, claiming that the state’s voter rolls are as messy as a toddler’s room after a toy tornado. The RNC alleges that Michigan is not following the rules laid out in the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) because, apparently, keeping voter rolls accurate and up-to-date is about as appealing to Secretary Benson as eating broccoli covered in Brussels sprouts.
The RNC’s lawsuit points fingers at Michigan, claiming that more than 90% of the state’s counties have bloated voter rolls. In fact, they argue that in 53 counties, there are more registered voters than there are adults old enough to vote. It’s like trying to fit three people into a two-seater sports car – just not possible, folks!\

Chairman Michael Whatley of the RNC slammed Benson’s lack of action in a press release, emphasizing the importance of clean voter rolls. You know, it’s pretty simple – if you want fair elections, you need accurate voter rolls. Benson, on the other hand, responded by saying they’ve been working tirelessly to clean up the rolls, removing over 700,000 voters already. But hey, when there’s smoke, there’s fire. Or in this case, when there are allegations, there are lawsuits.
Now, let’s talk about former President Donald Trump’s involvement in all of this. His team, which now seems to be pulling the strings at the RNC, has kicked things up a notch. With Laura Trump as co-chair, Chris LaCivita running operations, and a new determination to make Joe Biden a one-term president, it looks like they’re gearing up for a political showdown that’ll make the Wild West look tame.
In the end, the RNC is on a mission to ensure election integrity, while Benson plays the victim card, calling the lawsuit a PR stunt. But if you ask this conservative writer, a little cleaning up in the voter registration department wouldn’t hurt anyone. After all, the only inflation we want to see is in our bank accounts, not on our voter rolls!
