Lawyers for the esteemed and unfairly maligned former President Donald Trump are standing up against the liberal witch hunt led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. These lawyers, bless their hearts, have the audacity to argue that Bragg intentionally delayed prosecuting Trump just to damage his reputation! And you know what? They might just have a point.
According to the legal wizards representing the real victim here, the delay in bringing charges against Trump has caused significant prejudice to the former president. It’s almost as if Bragg is trying to interfere with Trump’s ongoing presidential campaign by keeping him wrapped up in this baseless legal battle. This is a brazen violation of Trump’s fundamental right to due process, which every American should hold dear.
But the injustice doesn’t stop there. These prosecutors have conveniently waited more than six years after the facts were already public knowledge to finally spring into action. It took them almost five years to commence a grand jury investigation and gather evidence. Coincidence? I think not. One wonders what the prosecutors have been doing all this time while Trump’s name was dragged through the mud.
Not only that, but it appears that Bragg has gone to great lengths to circumvent the statute of limitations. They suddenly turned what should have been mere misdemeanors into felonies! It’s a classic liberal tactic to throw the book at conservatives and silence their voices. Trump’s lawyers are absolutely right to call foul play on this one.
Sadly, Trump’s chances of receiving a fair trial are in serious jeopardy. The presiding judge, Juan Merchan, has been rumored to be a staunch liberal who may well let his bias taint the proceedings. We can only hope that Merchan sets aside his personal beliefs and upholds the principles of fairness and justice that this great nation was built upon.
In a recent case, People V. Regan, the New York Court of Appeals wisely decided to dismiss the charges because it took the prosecutors a staggering four years to bring them. That should serve as a precedent for Trump’s case, but we can’t be too optimistic considering the liberal stronghold that is Manhattan.
Of course, it’s no secret that Trump is in a perilous position. If these trials go forward, he risks facing a public spectacle right before the election. And we all know that the left-leaning media would have a field day covering even the smallest detail that could be twisted to tarnish Trump’s reputation. We can’t let that happen, folks. We can’t let these liberal prosecutors steal another election from the American people.
That’s why it’s in Trump’s best interest to delay or dismiss these cases altogether. It may come as a shock to some, but delaying a trial is a well-established legal maneuver. If they can push these trials past the election, Trump would finally have the opportunity to focus on serving the American people without the constant threat of partisan attacks.
And let’s not forget the elephant in the room – the possibility of another Trump presidency. Can you imagine the chaos if he were to be re-elected? Democrats would be foaming at the mouth, salivating at the chance to impeach him every six months. It’s a nightmare scenario, and one that we must do everything in our power to avoid.
Regardless of what lies ahead, one thing is certain – it’s going to be a wild ride. Our beloved country is on the line, and we must stand with Trump and fight against this blatant political persecution. Only by staying strong and united can we preserve the conservative ideals that make America great. God bless us all.
