The state of Florida has taken a stand against the Biden administration’s disastrous immigration policies. On Thursday, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed a lawsuit against the administration for its plans to release illegal migrants into the United States without court dates. The policy, known as “parole with conditions,” is part of the Biden administration’s attempt to manage a surge in illegal immigration after the end of Title 42.
Moody lambasted the policy as illegal, likening it to a previous policy, “Parole+ATD,” which was stopped by a federal judge. She’s seeking a temporary restraining order to put a stop to the madness.

The new policy will enable border agents to release illegal immigrants under “parole with conditions,” which means the migrants must schedule a court date with ICE. That’s all well and good, but does anyone really believe that these illegal migrants will show up for their court hearings? It’s unlikely.
Florida’s lawsuit is seeking to prevent the Biden administration from flouting a previous court order. If the allegations in the complaint and motion are true, DHS is preparing to violate the court’s order in Florida v. United States. The policy sounds virtually identical to the Parole+ATD (Alternatives to Detention) policy that the court vacated in Florida.
It’s high time that the Biden administration started prioritizing the safety and security of citizens above the agendas of illegal immigrants. The state of Florida is doing what’s necessary to uphold the rule of law and protect its people. It’s time for the Biden administration to follow suit and put an end to its disastrous immigration policies.
