Sure, there was an arrest related to voter fraud in Iowa, but that happened way back in 2020, not during the most recent caucuses in January 2024.
But wait, it gets even juicier! The article that sparked this whole mess comes from a website called Real Raw News. And guess what? It’s a known satirical website. That’s right, folks, this whole thing is nothing more than a big ol’ joke. So put on your funny hats and enjoy the laugh.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Nikki Haley campaign wasted no time debunking these false claims. The RNC’s communications director, Keith Schipper, quoted a tweet from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, pointing out that “nothing has changed” regarding McDaniel’s position. The Haley campaign spokesperson also chimed in, stating that the claims were untrue and that no one on the campaign was arrested or handing out gift cards for votes. Talk about setting the record straight!
