The big cheese over at USA Today is getting some serious side-eye after dropping a doozy of an article claiming President Joe Biden has been killing it when it comes to locking down the U.S.-Mexico border. But hold up—didn’t they get the memo that there are still millions of migrants waltzing across that southern border like it’s a free-for-all?
So, here’s the lowdown: After Biden gave a speech at the scene of a bridge collapse, where he shed a tear for six undocumented immigrant workers who snuffed it after a cargo ship smashed into the bridge, USA Today decided to give him a shiny gold star for his supposed border security magic.

The headline of the article was all about how the victims were “immigrants” and “Marylanders,” and the piece gushed about how hardworking and awesome they were. But wait, there’s more! They just had to slip in that these folks were from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico.
Now, here’s the kicker: Since Biden rolled into the White House, he’s pressed pause on deportations, shut down border wall construction, kicked the bucket on the Trump-era Remain In Mexico policy and Title 42, and brought back the catch-and-release program. All of those moves have pretty much sent a memo to unauthorized migrants saying “Come on in, the USA is open for business!”
And get this: Biden hasn’t put the brakes on any of those policies or cracked down on illegal immigration yet. So unless there’s some invisible, superhero-type fence along the southern border, it’s still wide open for aliens to come on in.
Some folks are calling out USA Today, saying their article is straight-up gaslighting propaganda and a big, fat fib. They’re not buying into all the razzle-dazzle and are calling it what it is: pandering for votes. Yep, looks like the narrative being pushed here isn’t sitting right with everyone, and they’re not afraid to call it like they see it: political pandering and fibbing for those sweet, sweet votes.
