Harvard Students Replace US Flag with Palestinian Flag in Protest

In the latest saga of wacky college antics, some Harvard students decided to swap out the American flag for a Palestinian one at an anti-Israel “encampment.” You know, because why not, right? They climbed up University Hall, all sneaky-like, and unfurled their new flag. But hold your horses, folks! The university staff wasn’t having any of those shenanigans, and they swooped in to restore order, like the patriotic heroes they are. Cue the cheers and jeers from the peanut gallery!

Meanwhile, these protesters were having a grand old time chanting for “free Palestine” and spewing out a slogan about rivers and seas. Now, that might sound all poetic and stuff, but some folks out there are calling foul and saying it’s not cool because it could mean bad news for Israel, our trusty ally in the Middle East.

Enter Alan Dershowitz, the pro-Israel professor who surprisingly said it was okay for the Palestinian flag to fly high as long as they asked nicely first. Dershowitz is all about free speech, even if it means letting the other side have their say. But hey, only some people play fair in this wacky game called politics, right? Some folks just want free speech for themselves and not for others.

These protests aren’t just happening at Harvard, folks. Nope, you’ve got the whole shebang going on at Yale, Columbia, UCLA, and more. Suddenly, the American flag isn’t cool anymore, and Uncle Sam is getting a bad rap in the name of so-called activism. What a time to be alive, huh? Join Joel B. Pollak on his journey through the wild world of news, and stay tuned for more eyebrow-raising tales from the frontlines of campus hijinks.
