President Joe Biden has been racking up the federal debt like it’s going out of style! In just 1,142 days, the debt has skyrocketed under his watch more than it did for any other president in that same period. When Biden first stepped into the Oval Office, the federal debt was already a hefty $27,751,896,236,414.77. But fast forward to March 6, 2024, and that number had ballooned to a staggering $34,440,831,955,756.54. That’s an eye-watering increase of $6,688,935,719,341.77 in less than four years!

Now, let’s put this into perspective. With approximately 160,968,000 Americans employed in February, each worker is on the hook for roughly $41,554.44 of the debt accumulated during Biden’s presidency so far. That’s a hefty chunk of change for hard-working Americans to bear because of Biden’s out-of-control spending habits.
Comparing Biden to past presidents, even President George W. Bush’s debt increase in his first 1,142 days pales in comparison. And don’t even get started on former President Barack Obama’s debt hike during his initial term. Somehow, Biden managed to outspend all his predecessors in record time. It’s like he’s trying to win a race on who can max out the country’s credit card first!
President Donald Trump’s administration saw a considerable debt increase too, especially with the COVID-related spending in 2020. But even with that, Biden has taken spending to a whole new level. Trump may have added to the debt significantly, but Biden is on track to leave a financial mess for future generations that will make Trump’s spending look like spare change.
At this rate, if Biden continues spending like there’s no tomorrow, the federal deficit for this fiscal year alone is estimated to be a mind-boggling $1,877,209,000,000. That’s a lot of zeros and a lot of taxpayer dollars going down the drain thanks to Biden’s reckless fiscal policies. If only Biden saw the value in a dollar the way he sees the value in government spending, maybe Americans wouldn’t be left holding the bag for his out-of-control budgeting.
